This is a great airplane, but it needs someone who will take it flying! I travel and teach full time. In 2020 I only got to fly it 27 hours. I'm just not using it.
The IFD550 has all the features and functionality of the other IFD FMS systems, including Hybrid Touch, Page & Tab user interface, GeoFill automatic waypoint nomination, and easy Airway flight planning. Sorry I didn' have time to have it detailed, so you'll see a little dirt. The new carpet kit has been paid for and just waiting to get it. The bulkhead interior was forgotten to be put back in after annual. This is a live walkthrough and I show you every little thing.
I'm not flying it, it's just that simple, I get paid to teach in other people's airplanes all over the world every day, and this amazing airplane sits in a hangar, alone, waiting to fly :(... It was a perfect airplane when I taught mountain flying and used it for travel, I just don't need it and the airplane and I would be much happier if someone who loved it could take it flying.
There is no corrosion. The airplane lived in AZ until 2009 when I bought it. I had it in Southern California, and moved to North Texas where it has been kept in a Hangar.
The cylinder ad that affected most continental engines does not apply to this airplane by serial number. ALL AD's are complied with.
I don't have to sell it! I will take the first reasonable offer close to my asking price, please don't waste your time with low-ball offers. With the new paint, avionics, low time airframe and engine, including the missing logs(prior to 1984) and the minor damage history I'm pricing it fairly and lower than Vref.

It's based at KLUD(Decatur, TX) near DFW. You can see it almost anytime with some advance notice, it is kept here in a locked hangar. You can even look at it when I'm not here with help from the FBO. If not sold by Jan 9th I'll fly it to HND(Las Vegas) for 9 days while I'm training a student in a bonaza.
I'm happy to do a 30 minute test flight with you and show you the amazing avionics for $300 which will be applied to the purchase price of the airplane. It needs to be scheduled I'm gone teaching a lot. Why do I charge? It's actually a discount from my normal teaching rate and it keeps the flights to a minimum of only serious buyers.
Of course, it's always welcome, they must provide a copy of their insurance, and a deposit is required. If you want the airplane moved to a different location, I will move it anywhere within a short distance for $300/hr plus travel costs if needed, but you are welcome to fly it with me! Any charges will be applied to the purchase price.
I will provide my 3 Day 20+hour IFR Mastery program which will include(Subject to student ability) an IPC, Flight Review, Avidyne Mastery Program and, Cessna 206 Checkout. We can even do it while delivering it together to your home airport! My normal price for this 3 Day is $8700.
The transfer of title and funds will be done using Aero-Space Escrow which I will pay for.
Everything in the airplane works perfectly but people always want to know if there are any flaws. No airplane is totally perfect and I want you to know the few things that do exist.
**Both prop strikes were from nose low landings from a very low time private pilot without proper training. (A little power, trim up and flaring would have prevented this)
No airframe damage happened.
No damage history since 2007 and I've owned it since 2011.
